JUNE HOTT was born and raised in North Philadelphia. Living in North Philly, he began his journey into the world of music listening to Slick Rick, Kool G Rap, Biggie, TuPac, Nas, Jay-Z, and many others. Thus with new inspiration June Hott began to work tirelessly. June’s hunger to succeed helped him to gain that verbally direct attitude as well as that unforgettable flow. After honing in on his verbal, he moved to South Carolina for a few years. Slowing down a bit to fit into the laid back Southern atmosphere, he expanded his musical horizons opening up to artists like Master P and Scarface. He even learned a little something from greats like Carlos Santana, B.B.King, Sam Cooke, Miles Davis giving him that soulful side to his sound. After moving back to Philadelphia June joined forces with Dephonic which married hip hop and soulful rock together.

Drew Kramer, also known as drew.ish, is a composer, producer, songwriter, recording artist and skilled session guitar player. Drew was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in South Jersey. At the age of 12, he picked up his first guitar and began to teach himself how to play while listening to the styling of guitar greats like Jimi Hendrix, Peter Townshend and Jimmy Page. As a teenager, Drew developed his musical ability and played with a group until departing for college where he began to explore songwriting and composition. He specifically studied elements of electronic and jazz music. Over the years, Drew’s taste in music grew and expanded into the areas of Soul, Hip-Hop and Reggae. It was only a matter of time before he found inspiration from great artists like Al Green, The Roots and Steel Pulse. This heavily influenced his guitar playing, composition and songwriting.

Like many musicians, Brian Wetzel’s musical understanding and experience started at an early age in school by participating in the jazz and marching bands, but it was in a basement full of guitars, amps and a drum kit that was the real birthplace his interest in songwriting, guitar solos, and music production. Instead of enduring the complexities of music theory and a college music degree, he attended Temple University to study Entrepreneurship in the Fox School of Business with the intention of taking his existing music skills and combining them with his business knowledge. Towards the end of his 4 year program, B Dub began working at a quality recording studio in Manayunk, Philadelphia called Aurum Recording, where he met the first three members of Dephonic, and began rehearsing with them. Since then, the band has grown quite a bit, and so has B Dub’s roll. Today he takes a heavy hand in the band’s music production process by writing and recording music, and helping define Dephonic’s sound by working with the group and collaborating talent. A few songs from the album Dephonition were recorded in his home studio including Get Down, Law of Love, and Can’t Wait. If you know B Dub personally, then you know he is a sucker for the latest pop singles from artists like Lily Allen, Gwen Stefani or Britney Spears (no lie), but he also draws strong production influences from recordings done by artists like Weezer, the Gorillaz, the Cardigans, John Legend, and the Dap Kings.
